For this trial game we ask you to prepare the following pieces:
Performance piece: Mozart - third violin concerto exposition plus a cadenza
Presentation piece: own choice
Rimsky-Korsakov - Scheherazade: two passages including a cadence
Shostakovich - Fifth Symphony: Solo from the Second Movement (Allegretto)
To register
You can register, with a short written motivation, at the board of the Orchestra ( bestuurhetorkest@gmail.nl).
You can also send an email for more information (or call Daphne Hendriks, the current concertmaster, email for the telephone number)
The audition will be held on June 28 from 6:30 PM in the Vossius Gymnasium in Amsterdam.
The exact time will still be communicated to respondents.
The Amsterdam Orchestra
The orchestra consists of approximately 70 members who are advanced amateurs. Jacob Slagter has been the conductor since 2014. Three programs are rehearsed every year and performed in two concerts per program. We regularly play concerts with soloists from our own ranks. Rehearsals are on Tuesday evenings in the Vossius gymnasium. Check out the rest of this website for more information about us.
