We're delighted you're interested in our orchestra! We currently have several openings. We're looking for good double basses, a harp, and a tuba.
As a string player, you're always welcome to join us for a few rehearsals. As a wind player, you can apply, and we'll explore the possibilities. If you'd like to join Het Orkest Amsterdam, you'll need to audition .
Auditing
Unless otherwise stated, auditions consist of a self-chosen performance piece and several excerpts from an orchestral score. Read more about auditioning in our regulations .
Play along
Artistic quality, a pleasant atmosphere, and the joy of music are paramount to our orchestra. Mutual solidarity, and therefore attendance and preparation, form the foundation for this. Read more about participating in our regulations .

Rehearsing
Het Orkest Amsterdam rehearses every Tuesday evening from 8:00 PM to 10:30 PM at the Cygnus Gymnasium, Vrolikstraat 8 , Amsterdam. Before each concert, we have a rehearsal weekend in or outside Amsterdam.
