Mozart, Die Entführung aus dem Serail Ouvertüre
The fresh, lively overture recalls the Ottoman Empire of the eighteenth century, in particular the harmes of the Pasha.
Nielsen, Aladdin Suite
This series of exotic dances, inspired by the fairy tale in which Aladdin sees a genie rising from his magic lamp, features many exotic themes.
Rimsky-Korsakov, Shéhérazade
Colorful symphonic suite, inspired by the fairy tales of the Arabian Nights. The graceful violin solo takes you into an Eastern atmosphere and you are welcome at the party in Baghdad.
